WHAT WE CHECK IN A STANDARD SERVICE

A typical Trailer World service can include:

Brakes & braking systems

Adjustments, pad/shoe checks, brake cables, hydraulic or electric brakes tested and inspected.

Wheel bearings & hubs

Clean, inspect, re‑grease or replace bearings and seals to prevent on‑road failures.

Tyres & wheels

Tread depth, uneven wear, pressures and wheel nut torque checked.

Suspension & running gear

Springs, axles, U‑bolts and mounting hardware inspected for wear, cracks or movement.

Lights & wiring

Plug, wiring and all lights (tail, stop, indicators, markers, number plate) tested and repaired as required.

Chassis, drawbar & coupling

Visual inspection for rust, cracks, distortion and general structural condition.

Deck, guards & bodywork

Floor condition, guards and any cages or crates checked for damage or loose fixings.

If we find anything that needs extra work, we’ll discuss it with you first and provide a clear quote before proceeding.

WHY SERVICE WITH US?

Trailer specialists

We design and build trailers, so we know exactly what to look for and how to fix it properly.

Safety first

Our checks focus on braking, running gear and structure so you can tow with confidence.

Save money & downtime

Preventative maintenance is far cheaper than roadside failures, emergency repairs, or failed WOFs.

Ideal for WOF prep

A service before inspection helps pick up issues that could cause a WOF fail.

Fleet & commercial trailers welcome

We can schedule servicing to minimise downtime for work trailers and fleets.

How Often Should I Service My Trailer?

As a general guide:

  • Light domestic use: at least once a year or every 10,000 km, whichever comes first.

  • Commercial, farm or heavy use: every 6 months or more frequently if towing heavy and often.

  • Boat trailers: should be checked more regularly due to immersion in water.

If you’re unsure what’s right for your trailer, we can recommend a service interval based on how you use it.
